ARCA Racing (November 27, 2018) - Live coverage of the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards was a cornerstone of MAVTV's motorsports coverage in 2018, and the network looks to once again expand that coverage in 2019.
In 2018 MAVTV was scheduled to broadcast twelve ARCA Racing Series events, eleven of them live. There were a record number of hours of programming dedicated to the ARCA Racing Series, including weekly race replays on Saturday nights
"ARCA is the premiere stock car racing series on our network," said MAVTV's Bob Patison. "Only the MX Championship has more live programming on MAVTV. Live ARCA racing is consistently one of our top performing properties."
MAVTV's 2018 schedule included producing its first broadcast of an ARCA Racing Series event from a superspeedway.
"Michigan International Speedway was a great example of teamwork as MAVTV worked in conjunction with NASCAR Productions and FOX to bring that show live to MAVTV," said producer Jen Ashley. "A MAVTV crew consisting of director, producer, assistant director, coordinating producer, graphics and talent team jumped in the FOX television truck directly following Cup qualifying and had less than 30 minutes to switch everything over and go live on air.
"Lucas Oil Production Studios was extremely proud to produce eleven out of the 12 races live to MAVTV in 2018," she continued. "There are always challenges when producing live programming and the key is to be able to adjust to any situation on the fly. Our team consists of professionals with decades of experience and are very adaptable."
MAVTV is in more than 35 million households and is continuing to gain viewership. Bob Dillner and Jim Tretow will continue to call all the action for the MAVTV's ARCA broadcasts. While MAVTV's complete broadcast schedule for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards for 2019 has yet to be released, plans call for an increase in live broadcasts.
The complete ARCA Racing Series broadcast schedule is being finalized and will be announced soon. The 2019 season opens with the Lucas Oil 200 at Daytona International Speedway on February 9. ARCARacing.com will have live timing & scoring and track updates free for registered users.
